About the Role:
The Associate Attorney will play a critical role in supporting the firm’s personal injury litigation practice by handling a caseload, providing comprehensive legal research, drafting, client representation, attending hearings and mediations and taking depositions under the supervision of senior attorneys. This position also requires advocating effectively in court or negotiation settings to achieve favorable outcomes for clients. The Associate Attorney will collaborate closely with colleagues to develop case strategies, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and ethical standards. This role demands a strong commitment to professional development and the ability to adapt to evolving legal challenges in various practice areas. Ultimately, the Associate Attorney contributes to the firm’s reputation for excellence by delivering high-quality legal services and fostering strong client relationships.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy development.
Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, demands etc.
Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, and negotiations as appropriate.
Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to manage case workflows and meet deadlines.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents affecting client matters.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in Texas and/or New Mexico
- 3-6 years of relevant experience.
- Strong advocacy, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage a case load
- Clients facing interactions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bi-lingual in Spanish (Highly Preferred).
- Prior experience working in a litigation law firm
- Experience with electronic legal research tools and case management software.
- Proven track record of successful client representation and negotiation.
