Position Overview
Agee Clymer Mitchell & Portman is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join our Social Security Disability practice. This position offers the opportunity to handle meaningful client work, develop expertise in disability law, and work collaboratively with experienced attorneys and support staff in a supportive, professional environment.
The Associate Attorney will manage Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) claims at various stages, including hearings before Administrative Law Judges.
Responsibilities
Represent clients in SSDI and SSI claims from application through hearing level
Prepare clients for hearings and represent them before Administrative Law Judges
Review, analyze, and summarize medical and vocational records
Draft legal briefs, memoranda, and case analyses
Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status and expectations
Work closely with paralegals and support staff to ensure effective case management
Maintain accurate and timely case documentation in compliance with firm standards

Requirements
Qualifications
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
Licensed to practice law in Ohio and in good standing
Strong writing, critical thinking, and advocacy skills
Excellent communication and client-relations abilities
Ability to manage deadlines and a caseload efficiently
Prior experience in Social Security Disability law or administrative law is not required
