What You'll Be Doing
As the Grants & Finance Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Foundation’s scholarship disbursements, financial operations, and fundraising efforts. You’ll ensure accurate recordkeeping, timely communications, and seamless coordination across platforms and stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Finance & Bookkeeping Support
Enter and maintain financial data across accounting systems.
Prepare invoices, track payments, and reconcile credit card charges.
Support audit preparation and respond to internal finance inquiries.
Assist with financial analysis and special projects.
Scholarship & Grants Administration
Coordinate annual scholarship disbursement communications.
Process disbursement requests and maintain accurate records.
Support renewal processes and ensure compliance with guidelines.
Track and reconcile scholarship-related transactions.
Advancement & Fundraising Support
Manage donor contributions and maintain accurate gift records.
Generate invoices, receipts, and year-end giving statements.
Support fundraising campaigns and donor communications.
Collaborate with the development team to ensure smooth execution of advancement activities.
What you’ll bring:
Experience with financial databases, CRM systems, and Excel.
Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting best practices.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
A proactive mindset and problem-solving abilities.
Commitment to accuracy, compliance, and high-quality work.
Appreciation for the Foundation’s mission and values.
What sets you apart:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
2–4 years of experience in nonprofit finance, grants, or scholarship administration.
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and donor/CRM systems (e.g., Blackbaud, Salesforce, or FENXT).
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to analyze and reconcile data.
Experience supporting audits, preparing financial reports, or reconciling transactions.
Familiarity with donor stewardship, fundraising operations, and scholarship/grant disbursements.
Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.
Previous experience in a nonprofit, foundation, or education environment preferred.
