The Executive Director, Real Estate Strategy & Business Development serves as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to senior executives, guiding enterprise-wide initiatives and shaping real estate and facilities strategies that support corporate priorities, portfolio optimization, and M&A decisions. This role translates corporate priorities and senior leadership initiatives into actionable strategies that drive organizational growth, efficiency, and competitive positioning.
Working closely with senior leaders, key stakeholders, and business areas, the Executive Director shapes strategic direction by framing complex decisions, evaluating trade-offs, and defining options through rigorous market intelligence, analytics, and scenario-based analysis. Analytics, market research, and operational intelligence serve as critical enablers-providing evidence, foresight, and clarity required to inform high-impact investments and enterprise decisions.
This leader brings together cross-functional teams across business, finance, operations, technology, and real estate, ensuring alignment and collaboration to deliver enterprise-wide initiatives effectively. They lead and develop high-performing teams responsible for designing, implementing, and advancing analytic capabilities that convert data from multiple sources-customers, markets, physical assets, and operational performance-into actionable, decision-ready insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with stakeholders across the organization, including executives, department leaders, business teams, and external department peer analytic teams to align data results with business strategy and data-driven solutions.
- Direct the design, development, validation, and implementation of analytic solutions that address complex business challenges, ensuring they effectively support decision-making processes and anticipate outcomes.
- Lead the exploration, validation, and interpretation of large datasets, applying advanced statistical, mathematical, and machine learning techniques to derive meaningful insights
- Champion advanced analytics initiatives, including natural language processing (NLP), large language models (LLMs), and generative AI, to extract actionable insights from unstructured and structured data
- Lead the strategic development of site selection, patient retention, other related key market data, facilitating the efficient adoption of future models that enhances the organization's data capabilities.
- Oversee support of the Real Estate program ,site selection and committee packages
- Oversee the management of external vendor partner and geospatial tool, Kalibrate, including as needed and user base support
- Drive the end-to-end development of analytics solutions, from defining problem statements to overseeing the deployment of models into production, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Ensure the creation of impactful dashboards and data visualizations that effectively communicate insights and support strategic decision-making across the organization.
- Lead the documentation process of project details, including problem statements, business outcomes, and deployment instructions, to ensure knowledge transfer and continuity.
- Develop and lead presentations for existing and new prospective stakeholders, articulating analytics opportunities, results, and strategic solutions.
- Lead technical coaching and professional development opportunities for data analytics team , enhancing their skills and capabilities to meet organizational needs.
- Direct and mentor a team of directors and managers, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration to drive business value and insights through data managed initiatives while prioritizing innovation and encouraging team members share ideas and best practices for continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications:
- 15+ years of total business experience with analytics or data science as the backbone
- 8+ years of experience leading analytics projects from concept to delivery, coordinating across diverse stakeholder groups.
- 8+ years of people management experience with a proven track record of leading highly effective and engaged teams.
- Experience building analytics solutions to solve business problems in a real estate or healthcare domain.
- Proven experience delivering executive level presentations, including strong logical structuring, storyboarding, and presentation delivery.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create presentations that present complex ideas in a simplified format to various audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple, complex projects in a deadline-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using geospatial tools, Kalibrate or like product
- Real Estate site selection knowledge or experience
- Leading multiple priority projects simultaneously
- Experience using natural language processing (NLP), large language models (LLMs), and Generative AI (Gen AI) to extract insights from text data.
- Proficiency with statistical concepts and advanced analytic techniques, such as predictive, gravity, regression, legacy, non-linear, etc. models.
- Proficiency in R, Python and SQL.
Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Master's degree preferred.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$131,500.00 - $303,195.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
