Description
The Fuel Shop Technician is responsible for the diagnosis, inspection, repair, calibration, testing, and assembly of diesel fuel injection components in accordance with established quality procedures and work instructions. This role is focused on production and technical execution—not management or supervision.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Disassemble, inspect, clean, repair, and reassemble diesel fuel injection components including injection pumps, injectors, and related fuel system parts
Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections to verify component condition and quality
Set up, operate, and maintain fuel injection test equipment and tooling
Calibrate and test fuel system components to manufacturer and internal specifications
Follow documented quality procedures, processes, and work instructions
Accurately document work performed, measurements taken, and test results
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Communicate findings, issues, or discrepancies to shop leadership as needed
Support continuous improvement efforts within the fuel shop
