Advanced Practice Provider (APP)
Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
Taos Whole Health Integrative Care is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and forward-thinking Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing team. Located in the heart of Taos, our clinic is known for its welcoming, beautiful space and its deeply human approach to care. We are an insurance-based family practice that blends evidence-based medicine with integrative therapies to support the whole person, mind, body, and spirit.
As an APP at Taos Whole Health, you will be a trusted partner in the care of individuals and families across the lifespan. You’ll have the opportunity to practice medicine in a setting that values connection, collaboration, and thoughtful, personalized care, while working alongside a supportive, multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history reviews, physical exams, and appropriate diagnostic screenings.
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions for patients of all ages.
Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions safely and effectively.
Educate patients on preventive care, lifestyle changes, and self-management strategies to promote long-term wellness.
Perform minor procedures and assist with more complex procedures as part of a collaborative care team.
Develop individualized treatment plans in partnership with patients, incorporating integrative therapies such as IV therapy, nutrition counseling, herbal medicine and supplements, acupuncture, and more.
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation within the EHR.
Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing continuing education.
Uphold the highest ethical and professional standards, demonstrating empathy, cultural humility, and respect in all patient and team interactions.
Requirements
Qualifications
Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited FNP or PA program.
Current national certification as an FNP or PA.
Active, unrestricted license to practice in the state of New Mexico.
Prescriptive authority and active DEA registration.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine ability to build meaningful patient relationships.
Comfort with EHR systems and the ability to learn new technology efficiently.
Interest in interdisciplinary collaboration and continued professional growth.
