Southwest Vermont Regional Technical School District Job Title: Paraeducator/Transportation Specialist Location: Southwest Tech, Bennington, VT School Year: 2025-2026 Employment Type: Full-Time, 35 hours per week (School Year Position) Salary: In accordance with the ESP Contract Application Deadline: Until Filled Position Overview Southwest Vermont Regional Technical School District is seeking a Paraeducator/Transportation Specialist to support our Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. This dual-role position combines classroom and lab support with student transportation responsibilities throughout the school day and school year. Key Responsibilities Paraeducator Duties: Assist CTE teachers in classrooms and labs, including off-campus lab locations Supervise students and support the enforcement of safety protocols Reinforce curriculum and instructional activities under the direction of the teacher Support positive student behavior and engagement Transportation Duties: Transport students to and from off-campus labs, work-based learning placements, field trips, and state and national competitions Occasionally transport students to and from their sending high schools Ensure safe, timely, and professional transportation of students Additional Duties: Maintain confidentiality Perform other tasks as assigned by administration May include overtime and occasional overnight trips Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma or GED required Post-secondary education/training or one to two years of related experience in CTE career pathways Valid CDL required or the ability to obtain a CDL with passenger endorsement within six months Ability to pass a fingerprint-supported background check and a DCF abuse and neglect check Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks Some outside work may be required, including exposure to varying weather conditions How to Apply: Send resume, cover letter, and three professional references via email, online or regular mail to: Rebecca Tattersall, Business Manager 321 Park Street, Bennington, VT 05201 Email: rtattersall@swtech.org Apply online: www.SchoolSpring.com Southwest Tech is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
