Reporting:
The Ground Service Technician (GST) reports directly to the GST – Lead.
Responsibilities:
The GST is responsible for the appearance of the customer facing elements of our operation. This primarily involves cleaning, stocking, and preparing aircraft and facilities used by customers when boarding, traveling on, and deplaning from our aircraft. This is a hands-on position that requires attention to detail and a keen sense of what customers’ expectations are when using our services.
The GST is required to stay current in their areas of expertise, share job specific knowledge with others and promote excellence in their field. Based on the priorities set by Management, the GST is also expected to help support additional department needs.
Duties:
a. Perform detailed cleaning of our aircraft interiors to ensure they remain in an excellent condition, and are presentable to our customers at all times. This includes turn cleaning, polishing, vacuuming, galley and lav sanitation, stain removal, etc.
b. Responsible for coordinating aircraft fuel events with third party vendors and RA employees.
c. Provide safe and efficient towing, marshaling, and ground servicing for both transient and
company aircraft.
d. Greet and attend to passenger needs when arriving or departing on our aircraft.
e. Help prepare the aircraft prior to departure from home base by placing cold stock items in their proper locations, verifying status of stock items on board, performing a detailed inspection, and spot cleaning of the aircraft before passengers board.
f. Perform interior and exterior cleaning and refueling of customer's automobiles.
g. Assist in the coordination of exterior aircraft cleaning with a third-party vendor and, when needed, clean aircraft exterior to ensure a presentable appearance for our customers.
h. Assist with the commissary inventory and ensure proper stocking of all aircraft prior to trips departing from home base.
i. Perform monthly aircraft stock audits to ensure items match the current configuration in our tracking application.
j. Utilize industry best practices for safety throughout all work, ensure compliance with department and regulatory procedures.
k. Work as part of a team to assist other areas of the department when needed.
l. Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends, as needed, to support the aircraft flight schedule requirements. This may entail a rotating on-call status or other arrangements as scheduled by Management.
m. Operate heavy/specialized equipment such as scissor/boom lifts, aircraft towing equipment.
n. All other duties as assigned by Management.
Requirements
Qualifications:

c. An aptitude to master inventory management of aircraft stock, fueling, fuel storage, ground service equipment, aircraft movement, towing, marshaling, exterior paint, bright work, lavatory sanitation, and baggage handling.
d. A focused attention to detail, a sense of pride in your workmanship, strong organizational skills, and a desire to learn.
e. Proficient use of computer applications, such as flight scheduling, email, and Microsoft Office programs.
f. An ability to effectively communicate and share knowledge with others.
g. A self-starter with a proven record of taking initiative to create positive change and an ability to efficiently utilize their time, while working independently, or collaboratively as part of a team.
