Status: Full Time - Exempt
Reports To: Vice President, Marketing & Communications
Business Unit: Marketing & Communications
Salary Range: $68,000 to $80,000 with some flexibility, based on the academic, professional, and community experiences and credentials of a candidate
Nature of Work
The Marketing & Communications Operations Manager (Manager) supports the Marketing & Communications team (MarCom) in executing Arizona Community Foundation’s strategic marketing, communications, and events objectives to ensure key messaging, positioning, and measurable goals are met. The Manager is responsible for establishing efficient and deadline-driven timelines, coordinating cross-team work, ensuring tasks are completed on time, and collaborating with other teams on MarCom projects and initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and prioritize workflow and projects with varying timelines to ensure proactive and timely delivery of content, including revision and approval processes.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to prioritize marketing, communications, and events projects, generate and follow production schedules, and meet budget parameters.
- Manage timelines and delegate tasks related to various publications and marketing collateral including annual report, email campaigns, ads, donor materials, brochures, videos, and fact sheets.
- Support event-related workflows for central and regional office, including registration setup, invitations, programs, presentations, and other materials.
- Maintain and optimize project management systems, dashboards, and reporting tools.
- Document and improve team processes through evaluation, recommendations, training, adoption of technology, and implementation.
- Coordinate cross-functional communication ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
- Contribute to marketing and communications ideation sessions, providing creative input on campaigns, messaging, and content strategy.
- Develop light copywriting for various marketing materials, including social media posts, email campaigns, web content, and donor communications.
- Support creative development through writing, editing, proofing, and light design contributions.
- Manage team meetings, agendas, timelines, annual planning, and operational logistics.
- Support vendor coordination, contracts, scheduling, and invoicing.
- Guide development and implementation of appropriate mechanisms for measuring effectiveness of MarCom work.
Requirements
Knowledge or Skills
- Five or more years of relevant industry experience in coordinating workflows in a communications, marketing, advertising, public relations, or a related setting;
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
- Experience supervising marketing and communications projects and providing direction on branding and marketing strategy.
- Exceptional project management skills, including use of digital tools (project management, CRM, etc.).
- Experience overseeing content creation and distribution across multiple channels.
- Strong technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office products, Adobe Creative Suite, events management software, and knowledge of HTML.
- Proficiency with data analytics and related tools.
- Ability to be a self-starter, function independently and as a part of a dynamic team, and make sound decisions based on experience, knowledge, and business acumen.
- Experience creating and delivering presentations, leading group discussions, and building consensus among various parties.
- Excellent organizational skills including attention to detail and ability to follow through.
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills and a customer service mindset.
- Experience working collaboratively across departments with colleagues at all levels to accomplish work.

- Nonprofit sector experience is very helpful.
- Proficiency in Spanish (written and verbal) is a plus.
