Description
The Executive & Academic Search team with Doximity Talent Solutions has partnered with Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and Froedtert Health in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on the national search for the next Medical Director of Lung Transplant. This incoming leader will join MCW’s Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, reporting directly to the Division Chief, Julie Biller, MD, as well as to the Service Line Director of Solid Organ Transplant, Matthew Cooper, MD.
Position Details
- Provide strategic and clinical leadership for a well-established Lung Transplant Program with a strong history of success
- Guide the next phase of program growth, innovation, and national recognition
- Sustain and refine existing lung transplant operations, clinical workflows, and care models
- Foster a cohesive, multidisciplinary team culture across pulmonary, critical care, surgery, and transplant services
- Expand the program’s footprint through strengthened market relationships and referral development
- Drive continued excellence in quality, outcomes, and patient-centered lung transplant care
Education & Experience
- MD or MD/PhD with eligibility for Wisconsin medical licensure
- Board Certification in Pulmonary and Critical Care
- Eligible for appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level
Professional Background
- Demonstrated leadership experience within academic medicine is preferred
- Five or more years of experience in lung transplant care
- Proven ability to work within and lead multidisciplinary clinical teams
