Description
*JOB SUMMARY* The PACS/RIS Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration, optimization, and support of imaging applications across Radiology and Cardiology service lines. This role plays a critical part in ensuring reliable image workflow, system integrity, and operational excellence across multiple facilities. This position requires regular travel to various THH locations in the Dallas area and provides hands-on support to clinical and operational imaging teams. The PACS/RIS Administrator partners closely with Imaging leadership, end users, IT, and vendors to maintain high standards for system performance, data integrity, and patient care. This is not a remote position and includes on-call responsibilities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE * Manage the daily operations, integrity, and performance of imaging applications and devices supporting Radiology and Cardiology (CV) services, including PACS, RIS, image workflow, and related systems. * Ensure accurate and complete capture of DICOM digital image data, including network transmission, RIS validation, and exception handling across all required applications. * Serve as the primary liaison between Imaging departments, IT, and vendors to resolve system, workflow, and technical issues. * Provide system administration support to Imaging leaders, including report generation on utilization, compliance, and performance metrics. * Support charge capture reconciliation, assist with new procedure code requests, and ensure accurate application of charges. * Deliver user training programs and provide first-line technical and problem-resolution support to end users. * Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and user-related issues. * Maintain system efficiency, reliability, and security in alignment with organizational standards. * Participate in after-hours, weekend, holiday, and on-call coverage on a rotational basis across multiple facilities. * Travel regularly to support imaging operations at various Dallas-area THH locations. *HOURS & SCHEDULE* Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM *On-call duty required* *REQUIRED / PREFERRED EXPERIENCE* * PACS Administration experience supporting **Radiology and/or Cardiology departments**. * Hands-on experience with imaging workflows and diagnostic imaging systems. * Background in Radiology strongly preferred; **Cardiology imaging experience a plus**. * Experience supporting PACS environments across multiple facilities is highly desirable. *KEY SUCCESS FACTORS* * Thorough knowledge of Radiology department processes; Cardiology knowledge preferred. * Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across clinical, technical, and leadership teams. * Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). * Ability to work independently with minimal oversight while delivering timely, accurate, and cost-effective services. * Availability outside normal business hours, including on-call support. * Ability to serve as a preceptor by providing high-quality training to new team members and supporting new services and initiatives. * Working knowledge of: * EPIC Radiant * Visage PACS * Nuance PowerScribe * TeraRecon * Other diagnostic imaging applications *BENEFITS* Our competitive benefits package includes the following - Immediate eligibility for health and welfare benefits - 401(k) savings plan with dollar-for-dollar match up to 5% - Tuition Reimbursement - PTO accrual beginning Day 1 Note: Benefits may vary based upon position type and/or level *QUALIFICATIONS* - EDUCATION - H.S.
