Description
Great full time opportunity with our district!Brandon-Evansville Public School is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Manager/Human Resource Generalist. This position is considered a confidential employee by Minnesota statute.
Purpose of Position: Responsible for maintenance and execution of the districts monthly payroll processing including pay, deductions, benefits and taxes. Responsible for all insurance enrollments, benefit coordination, compliance with employment laws and regulations including FMLA, ACA, Paid Leave, Hours Worked, Workers Compensation. Assist with the hiring process including job postings, interviewing and onboarding new employees.
Qualifications:
High School graduate with two years of college courses in nance preferred
2 years of payroll and HR administration experience preferred
Ideal candidates should be proficient in the following characteristics:
Payroll Processing Expertise - Deep understanding of payroll systems, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Attention to Detail - Ensuring accuracy in calculations, data entry, and adherence to legal regulations.
Analytical Skills - Ability to interpret complex data, resolve discrepancies, and optimize payroll processes.
Knowledge of Labor Laws and Tax Regulations - Familiarity with federal, state, and local payroll laws, as well as tax filing requirements.
Technical Proficiency - Experience with payroll software (e.g.,SmartHR, SmarteR), Excel, Word, 10-Key Calculator.
Confidentiality and Integrity - Maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information.
Problem-Solving Skills - Resolving payroll issues efficiently and effectively and have exceptional mathematical skills.
Communication Skills - Clearly conveying information to employees and collaborating with HR, finance, and external agencies.
Time Management - Meeting strict deadlines, especially during payroll cycles and year-end reporting.
Start Date: March 2, 2026
Days/Hour: 4 days per week; 8 hours per day (32 hours per week) 12 months per year.
Wage/Salary: Based on experience and qualifications
