Description
We have an opening for a Payroll Supervisor in Fergus Falls, MN. Our company's commitment is to environmental, economic, and community stewardship and we balance each decision we make with the impact it has on our friends and neighbors.We are seeking a Payroll Supervisor to lead and oversee payroll operations for our organization. This role ensures accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with federal and state regulations, and effective use of payroll systems. The Payroll Supervisor will provide leadership to payroll staff, manage system administration, and maintain strong internal controls.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage payroll systems, including security and upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with payroll laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Supervise and mentor payroll staff, providing guidance and support.
- Oversee preparation of payroll tax filings and regulatory reports.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams on payroll-related matters.
- Drive process improvements and maintain documentation for payroll procedures.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business (or equivalent experience) OR Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation required.
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. Experience with union time entry and collective bargaining agreements is desired.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to respond professionally and effectively to employee inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and maintain positive working relationships across departments.
- Solid understanding of payroll processes, employee benefits, and compensation methodologies.
- Proficiency in payroll software and accounting systems preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills; team-oriented with a commitment to continuous learning

- The expected base compensation for this role is $76,000 - $105,000 annually. Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
