- Portfolio Analyst (Core Bond)
Description
JOB DESCRIPTION
A team member that can contribute across all facets of the Core Bond Team’s architecture function, including portfolio construction and risk monitoring, performance attribution, trade setup and support, client deliverables, data integrity management, and automation of recurring reporting and ad hoc deliverables. This architecture function operates as the key support role for the Core Bond Team’s senior portfolio managers and strategists.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide support for the portfolio management team, with an emphasis on portfolio monitoring and managing investment-related items such as cash management, duration exposures, sector positioning, yield targets and thematic implementation consistent with firm and team views.
Active role in trade setup and compliance checks across new issues, secondary trades, inflow/outflows.
Collaborate with research analysts to screen, monitor and assess credit opportunities as well as traders to help implement trade ideas.
Manage performance attribution and provide internal/external stakeholders with a thorough analysis of the sources of relative performance across Core Bond strategies.
Develop and update analytical and monitoring tools to support the portfolio management team.
Create and update commentaries, marketing materials and presentations, explain our market outlook and portfolio strategies to clients and prospects.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Proactive personality, strong sense of ownership, attention to detail and a positive, self-starter attitude.
Curious attitude towards investing, combined with strong problem-solving skills and an ability to think critically.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with advanced programming skills in Python and SQL. Knowledge of visualization tools (e.g. Tableau) would be a plus.
Be highly organized and forward thinking when assessing current process and how to improve them.
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented, willing to “get the job done” ethos are essential.
Three to seven years of relevant experience is preferred
