Description
Your roleWe are seeking an experienced Quantitative Analyst to join our House View Portfolio Management team. In this role, you will apply quantitative techniques to support multi-asset portfolios using both active and passive investment strategies. You will take ownership of complex analytics, contribute to portfolio construction and risk management, and collaborate with investment professionals to deliver actionable insights. This position is ideal for someone with deep technical expertise and a strong understanding of multi-asset investing who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
• Portfolio Construction & Risk Management
o Assist in developing and refining portfolio construction models for portfolio optimization, risk budgeting, and scenario analysis across equities, fixed income, and liquid alternatives.
o Monitor portfolio exposures, factor sensitivities, and liquidity metrics to ensure alignment with investment objectives and risk guidelines.
• Quantitative Research
o Conduct research on market drivers, factor performance, and macroeconomic trends to inform active investment decisions.
o Support enhancements to asset allocation frameworks and risk models to support multi-asset strategies.
• Analytics & Reporting
o Perform performance attribution and stress testing for multi-asset portfolios.
o Build and maintain dashboards and tools for portfolio monitoring and risk analytics.
o Lead monthly and quarterly reporting processes using quantitative tools and institutional knowledge.
• Collaboration
o Work closely with portfolio managers, investment research, and risk teams to provide actionable insights.
o Communicate quantitative findings clearly to stakeholders.

Your team
You'll be working in the House View portfolio management team within the Wealth Management Portfolio Strategy & Multi-Asset Solutions business, based in Weehawken. The team is responsible for designing and delivering UBS's fully discretionary House View portfolios to institutional and US retail clients. You'll collaborate closely with stakeholders across Wealth Management to drive business and product initiatives for the UBS CIO organization.
Your expertise
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field.
• ideally 6+ years of experience in quantitative analysis within asset management, wealth management, or similar investment environment.
• Strong understanding of multi-asset investment strategies across equities, fixed income, and liquid alternatives.
• Familiarity with third-party systems such as FactSet, Barra, Bloomberg, Morningstar Direct and BlackRock Aladdin is preferred.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• CFA designation or progress toward CFA is a plus.
• Series 7 and 66 licenses are required within the first few months of employment.
Technical Skills
• Proficiency in Python, R, Matlab, and SQL for data analysis and automation.
• Experience with Power BI and other visualization tools for reporting and dashboard creation.
• Ability to leverage AI-powered tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT) for workflow automation, research assistance, and productivity enhancement.
• Experience with machine learning techniques for predictive modeling, factor analysis, and portfolio optimization.
