Description
We are a well-established boutique law firm based in New York City looking to add a Senior Associate to our real estate team!
Real estate is one of the firm’s main practice areas, which also includes a robust and multi-faceted team of construction, litigation, employment, and corporate attorneys. You would be working on complex matters for major owners, developers, and retail tenants. The role would be substantial, in a tight-knit, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial leases
- Handle lease amendments, renewals, assignments, and related leasing documentation
- Manage and coordinate commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions through closing
- Draft and negotiate loan agreements, closing documents, operating agreements, joint venture agreements and related governance documents
- Conduct transactional due diligence for real estate matters
- Coordinate with lenders, brokers, title companies, and other transaction parties
- Assist with financing transactions and other complex real estate matters
- Manage client relationships and communicate effectively with internal teams

- Salary: $200,000 - $220,000 depending on experience + bonus potential

Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Admission to the New York State Bar
- Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing real estate law
- Experience drafting and negotiating commercial leases
- Experience handling commercial real estate closings and transactional documentation
- Experience with joint venture agreements in real estate transactions
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and client service mindset
