Registered Veterinary TechnicianHampden Family Pet Hospital
Englewood, CO
Compensation: Hourly pay starting at $24-$28/hour, negotiable based on credentials and experience. The final rate will consider skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Sign-On Bonus: $5,000 available for qualified candidates (details discussed during interview)

Hampden Family Pet Hospital, a proud Thrive Pet Healthcare partner, is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to join our collaborative medical team. We proudly serve pets and families across Englewood, Littleton, Denver, Aurora, and Lakewood, providing advanced medical and surgical care-including orthopedic and laparoscopic surgery, acupuncture, and specialty services for dogs, cats, pocket pets, and reptiles.
As an AAHA-accredited hospital and partner of the Canine Blood Heroes Blood Bank, we are committed to gold-standard medicine and compassionate, patient-centered care.
What You’ll Do
As a Registered Veterinary Technician, you’ll play a vital role in patient care and hospital operations by:
- Supporting veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures
- Placing IV catheters and performing blood draws and injections (IV, IM, SQ)
- Monitoring anesthesia and utilizing advanced monitoring equipment
- Assisting with surgeries and procedures in accordance with Colorado regulations
- Collecting and maintaining accurate patient histories and medical records
- Communicating with clients regarding individualized pet health concerns, medications, and treatment plans
- Using safe restraint techniques and maintaining clean, sterile treatment areas
- Supporting positive patient flow and efficient hospital operations
- Mentoring and supporting fellow team members
What We’re Looking For
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary technician experience with direct patient care
- Active RVT/LVT/CVT credential
- Proficiency in IV catheter placement, bloodwork, and injections
- Experience monitoring anesthesia and working with monitoring equipment
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
- Commitment to empathetic, gold-standard veterinary medicine
