Key Responsibilities
Customer Engagement: Greet showroom visitors and respond to digital inquiries to build a positive rapport from the first point of contact.
Needs Assessment: Interview customers to understand their lifestyle, preferences, and budget to recommend the most suitable vehicle makes and models.
Product Demonstrations: Showcase vehicle features, performance, and advanced technology through in-depth presentations and guided test drives.
Sales Negotiation: Discuss pricing, trade-in values, and payment terms to reach mutually beneficial agreements while maintaining dealership profitability.
Financial Coordination: Guide customers through financing and leasing options, assist with credit applications, and explain warranties or secondary protection products.
Transaction Management: Accurately complete all legal and internal paperwork, including sales contracts, title transfers, and insurance documentation.
Post-Sale Support: Follow up with clients after delivery to ensure satisfaction, address concerns, and foster long-term relationships for repeat business and referrals.
Sales Target Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed monthly quotas for sales volume and gross profit as established by the dealership.
Requirements
Requirements & Qualifications
Documentation: A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are mandatory. Many jurisdictions, such as Ontario, require specific certification from motor vehicle industry councils.
Education: Minimum of a high school diploma; a post-secondary degree in business or marketing is often preferred for advancement.
Skills: Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for interacting with diverse clients and handling digital leads.
Persuasion: Ability to overcome objections and close deals without being overly aggressive.
Technical Proficiency: Competency in using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and dealership management systems.
Flexibility: Availability to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate customer schedules.
