Description
Sales Support Specialist Your new companyA long-established, locally owned business in the Wollongong area. This organisation has built a strong reputation within the food supply sector over more than three decades. The team is known for delivering excellent service, quality products, and maintaining a supportive, collaborative workplace culture. As the business continues to grow, they are seeking a dedicated Sales Support / Office Assistant to join their team.
Your new role
The role will initially focus on sales support tasks, including managing smaller client accounts, processing orders, and assisting with customer enquiries. As you grow in confidence and capability, you'll have the opportunity to take on more responsibility and gradually transition into a Sales or Account Manager position.
This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys building relationships, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is looking for a clear pathway to develop their career in sales. You'll work closely with both the sales team and senior managers, ensuring smooth administrative processes across the business while gaining hands-on experience that sets you up for future progression.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Taking phone orders and entering them accurately into the database
- Assisting customers with product and account enquiries
- Providing support to senior managers
- Completing general data entry and administrative tasks
- Supporting multiple business functions as part of a collaborative team
To thrive in this role, you will bring:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar administration/customer service or retail sales position.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service
- Confidence in handling pressure and managing competing priorities
- A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
