Description:POSITION SUMMARY
The truck driver will perform a variety of routine and complex transportation work, driving and coordinating transportation plans in support of the Transportation Department. you will be responsible for delivering propane/fuel to our customers in a safe and timely manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Operate and maintain a delivery truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW)
- Loads, secures, transports, delivers and unloads propane/fuel from specified destinations
- Inspects vehicle and notifies supervisor of needed equipment, supplies, or routine maintenance
- Ensure all deliveries are made on time and in a safe manner
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and customer interactions
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Adhere to all traffic laws and all DOT regulations, and company policies
- Perform routine maintenance on the delivery truck
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
- Valid CDL Class B driver's license with Hazmat and tank endorsements
- Clean driving record
- Ability to operate a delivery truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds GVW
- Strong Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet while in the office, or moderately loud when in the field.
