We are seeking a Nevada-licensed attorney to assist with federal tax controversy matters. Prior tax experience is helpful but not required; however, a strong interest in tax law and IRS procedure is essential.
The attorney will work alongside experienced tax attorneys and enrolled agents representing individuals and businesses in matters involving IRS examinations, administrative appeals, IRS collections, and tax litigation.
This position offers the opportunity to gain significant experience in federal tax controversy and dispute resolution while working in a collaborative professional environment.
This role requires the ability to manage matters independently while collaborating with senior attorneys when needed.

Compensation:
Paid based on billable hours billed and collected at $200-$300 per hour.
This is a 1099 independent contractor position with flexible scheduling depending on case assignments.
Typical workload ranges from 30–50 hours per week, depending on case needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in IRS audits, examinations, and administrative proceedings
- Communicate with IRS revenue officers, agents, and appeals officers
- Draft legal memoranda, motions, and other legal documents
- Assist with federal tax litigation preparation
- Work with attorneys and enrolled agents on case strategy and financial analysis
- Maintain client communication throughout IRS disputes
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active Nevada Bar membership in good standing.
- JD from an accredited law school
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to collaborate with attorneys and tax professionals
