Forest Hills Stadium is located centrally in Forest Hills, within the borough of Queens, NY, a short distance from frequent service by several rail lines. During its first heyday in the 1960s and 70s, the stadium hosted The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Barbra Streisand, and Simon and Garfunkel. Today, icons such as Paul Simon, Alabama Shakes, and Mumford & Sons are back onstage. The stadium operators are proud of their long-term vision to bring Forest Hills Stadium to its rightful position in the upper echelon of New York and American musical experience.
VIP SUPERVISOR
Position Summary:
The VIP Supervisor oversees the VIP staff including (Coordinators, Hosts and Escorts). Strong interpersonal skills and a keen eye for details are essential to this process. The VIP Supervisor will carry out the day of logistics for the venue's hospitality programs and coordinate with various venue departments. This person will act as the onsite point of contact for Speakeasy Clients.
Essential Functions:
- Assist Hospitality Manager on Day of Show to ensure all VIP areas are show ready prior to VIP doors.
- Prep and distribute Show Materials and disseminate to staff and venue management.
- Oversee venue's VIP programs including Golden Apple, First Serve and Speakeasy Suite rentals.
- Assist with additional venue programming when required.
- Assist VIP guests with directional and informational inquiries by demonstrating strong knowledge of the facility, seating, and event(s).
- Supervise VIP Hosts and Coordinators and act as point of contact for Speakeasy Clients.
- Ensure accuracy of food deliveries and settlement at the end of the show.
- Communicate in a professional manner with building staff, guests, clients and supervisors.
- Display a calm, kind and attentive demeanor when rectifying issues with guests.
- Report any activities or behaviors that conflict with facility/event policy or code of conduct to supervisor or Event Manager.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency
- A minimum of 1-2 years of related work experience
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Exemplify a strong commitment and willingness to provide excellent customer service
- Maintain a neat, clean and professional appearance (wear assigned uniform, provided by Forest Hills Stadium, during all shifts)
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Sound judgement; able to make reasonable and rational decisions
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Pay Scale: $28.69
Bonus: This position is not eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
Benefits: Part-time: This position may be eligible for benefits (ACA qualification).
