As the Payroll Analyst, you will:
Oversee and audit timely and accurate processing of companywide payroll.
Provide expertise in processing payroll in accordance with UTA policies and standard operating procedures, the collective bargaining agreement, and state and federal regulations.
Manage garnishment, leave balances, and payroll inquiries and discrepancies.
Work with management on the analysis, creation, and closures of year-end, responding to payroll audits, and tax filing.
Maintains a complete knowledge of the ERP payroll system (Workday).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE/ EDUCATION/TRAINING
Three years previous job-related work experience reviewing, administering, and processing the complete payroll function using an ERP system for a minimum of 500 employees.  Â
Experience working in a union environment preferred. This job requires an annual credit check.
Associates degree in Accounting, or related field. (In lieu of an Associates Degree, 2 additional years of experience will be considered)
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred. Â Â
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Strong knowledge of database administration and maintenance.
Thorough knowledge of state and federal payroll and tax regulations, including current payroll law and best practices such as FLSA, tax levy, and garnishment calculation.
Knowledge of accounting as it relates to payroll and payroll liabilities.
Experience with year-end payroll processes, including issuance of W-2's and tax filing.
Report writing experience, preferably using Crystal Reports.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on customer service.
Typing speed of 30 WPM, 10-key speed of 5,000 KPH.
Workday and/or Oracle experience preferred.
Beginner-level proficiency in Microsoft Word preferred and intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred.
Ability to multi-task while working under time constraints.
Ability to interpret contracts, policies and procedures, and legal documents related to payroll and/or union relations.
This job requires regular and predictable attendance.

Pay Range: $63,800.00 or more, depending on experience
