Litigation Attorney, NY, NY. Manage the representation of Asian & US clients in connection w/ multi-jurisdictional, crossborder disputes, incl securities litigation & int'l arbitration, as well as cross-border internal and regulatory investigations. Reqs Juris Doctor or Master of Laws deg, or foreign equiv. Must have 3 yrs of exp in the following areas: advising AsiaPacific & U.S.-based as well as int'l clients on matters involving complex cross-border disputes & investigations; coord'g work rltd to cross-border disputes & investigations w/ local counsel & firm offices in int'l jurisdictions incl Europe & Asia, particularly in China (incl Hong Kong); assessing the merits of potential int'l arbitration claims & securities law claims; coord'g cross-border, large-scale fact discovery, particularly conducted out of China; prep'g for examinations of witnesses & oral arguments in the context of arbitration & litigation as well as presentations to government regulators in the context of investigations; & drafting & prep'g written advocacy materials in the context of arbitration, litigation & investigations. Must be fluent in written & spoken Chinese (Mandarin), w/ the ability to draft legal submissions, conduct interviews w/ witnesses & legal experts & communicate w/ clients in Chinese (Mandarin). Must be licensed to practice law in NY. Significant int'l travel (around 25% of the time) is reqd to China (incl Hong Kong) & Europe (incl London) for hearings/depositions/witness interviews; bus. dvlpmt; client relationship mgmt; & conference/seminars/trainings. $310,000 - $320,000.
