Associate or Full Professor of Real Estate
The AACSB accredited College of Business at Louisiana State University Shreveport (LSUS) invites applications for the Oscar Cloyd Real Estate Super Professorship, a 9-month tenure-track position in Real Estate at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor starting August 2026. The selected candidate will report to the Chair of the Department of Economics and Finance. Applicants from the area of Real Estate or Finance, with appropriate qualifications to teach real estate, will be considered for individuals who meet our AACSB qualifications.
Responsibilities:
Teach Real Estate and Finance courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, in face-to-face and online settings.
Produce scholarship at a level consistent with our AACSB Scholarly Academic standards.
Participate in service activities at the university, college, and department levels, as well as in community and profession.
Participate in the assessment of student learning outcomes and program effectiveness.
Additional duties, as required by the original endowment, include:
o continue a record of scholarly and creative endeavors;
o exhibit leadership in academic units, collaborations with other scholars, and the private sector;
o pursue activities that enhance the reputation of the university;
o perform exceptionally in the areas of innovative teaching, student advisement, mentoring, and leadership in curriculum development.
Required Qualifications:
A doctoral degree in Real Estate, or Finance with a specialty in Real Estate, or related degree with appropriate qualifications to teach real estate, with a strong research background in business from an AACSB accredited university.
Evidence of effective teaching and research commensurate with years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
A demonstrated record of teaching effectiveness in multiple areas of real estate and finance classes, such as Real Estate Principles, Real Estate Appraisal, and Real Estate Investments.
Position-related certifications.
