Position Description
Our school seeks a Mathematics Teacher to teach two sections AP Calculus AB and two sections of Standard Precalculus within our dynamic all-girls upper school community. The ideal candidate is an engaging, student-centered educator who brings strong mathematical expertise, a collaborative spirit, and a commitment to supporting young women as confident, capable learners in STEM.
Job Responsibilities
Teach Pre-Calculus Honors and AP Calculus AB using a balance of conceptual understanding, problem-solving, and skill development.
Foster an inclusive classroom environment where students feel challenged, supported, and known.
Assess student learning and provide timely, thoughtful feedback.
Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
Collaborate with the Math Department to maintain curricular alignment and uphold high standards.
Sponsor clubs, coach, lead trips, support student ventures, or contribute to extracurricular programs that align with your interests and talents.
Participate fully in the life of the school, from community events and celebrations to interdisciplinary initiatives and special programs.

Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
Prior experience teaching high school mathematics, including honors or AP-level coursework.
Familiarity with AP Calculus AB expectations and exam preparation.
Enthusiasm for working with adolescents and supporting the mission of an independent girls’ school.
Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
In addition to teaching, full-time faculty members serve as student advisors and contribute in other significant ways to the work of the community. We are especially interested in candidates with coaching experience and/or those who can demonstrate initiative and serve as coaches in a variety of significant ways outside of the classroom. Other supervisory responsibilities and duties are shared among faculty members.

The St. Paul’s Schools has a compensation scale based on direct years of experience and degree held. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s years of experience, education and skills. For this opportunity, our salary range is $45,800 to $65,000 annually. Compensation for the upper school musical is an additional stipend. Candidates with additional experience or qualifications may be offered a salary outside of the range shown.
