SHAPE HEALTHCARE ENVIRONMENTS THAT IMPROVE HOW CARE WORKS
Care environments designed around real clinical workflows Behavioral health spaces that prioritize dignity and safety Hospitals and clinics that support patients, providers, and communities
If you enjoy translating healthcare operations into thoughtful, functional design, we should talk.
ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking for a Senior Architectural Medical Planner to lead the clinical planning and programming of complex healthcare environments, from hospital renovations within active medical campuses to purpose-built community health facilities.
Our healthcare studio is growing, and this role plays a critical part in shaping how healthcare environments support patient care, staff workflows, and long-term operational success. You will work closely with studio leaders, project managers, architects, and healthcare providers to translate care delivery models into clear, efficient, and patient-centered design solutions.
Many of our projects occur in active hospitals and sensitive care environments where careful coordination, infection control considerations, and operational insight are essential. Others involve behavioral health facilities, outpatient care environments, and community-based health systems expanding access to care.
This position works across multiple healthcare projects and collaborates with integrated teams throughout early planning and design phases, helping guide project direction through clinical insight and strategic thinking.
This is a hybrid role with an expectation of being in the office a minimum of two to three days per week, typically on one of the firm’s anchor days: Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.
This position is based in our downtown Seattle office, with convenient access to public transit and nearby neighborhood amenities.
