Advertising/Marketing Sr. Director New Business Development/Proposal Development

 

An integrated 360° advertising, marketing and social/digital agency with offices in Los Angeles, Washington, DC, NY, Baltimore, Dallas, and Richmond (VA) is seeking a full-time Sr. Director, New Business Development responsible for all agency new business development. Seeking a highly organized, independent, motivated and entrepreneurial team member with great proposal development, RFP management, writing, and storytelling skills and the ability to juggle a myriad of assignments and keep them moving forward on-time. This person will have the ability to operate strategically and tactically in virtual real time.  This is a great opportunity for the right person with public sector RFP proposal development experience as well as sales and/or marketing experience to apply it with an agency that is committed to Doing a World of Good. Experience in government sector new business and proposal development is a requirement.

You will be working side-by-side with the President/CEO and strategic marketing planning – but you will “own” new business. You will be doing strategic thinking, organizing/writing/producing proposal responses, organizing new business meetings, new lead generation and outreach, networking, conducting marketing research, leading preparations for oral presentations, as well as pro-actively marketing and building brand awareness for the agency.

In addition, you'll be a part of the account service team and have an opportunity to work (on a limited basis) on current and prospective clients and participating in marketing brainstorming (because you are a key member of the strategic marketing team).

Must haves:

A thick skin, highly organized, fearless sales/marketing skills, ability to take projects, own them, and deliver results (i.e., new business), excellent writing and editing skills, bachelor’s degree in PR, Advertising, Marketing or Mass Comm (or other appropriate area of study), excellent knowledge of MS Office, Canva, CRM, preferably with a Mac and exceptional presentation skills.

Ideal haves:

Sales/marketing ideas and experience in securing new business in an agency environment, public relations, marketing and desire to be a part of all things marketing (advertising, branding, integrated marketing)
