Overview
Lutron has an immediate opening for a dynamic and driven Architectural & Design Specification Salesperson to join our team in New York City, NY.
In this role, you will generate demand for our innovative Window Systems and Lighting Control product lines while partnering with architects, interior designers, and key industry influencers. Apply your consultative selling approach and understanding of the construction sales cycle to influence specifications, educate customers on technical solutions, and help bring exceptional spaces to life. This is a hybrid role based in New York City, NY, with a mix of in-person customer engagement, local market activity, and remote work.
Responsibilities
- Engage with Industry Professionals: Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and key stakeholders to showcase Lutron solutions.
- Build Strong Relationships: Develop lasting partnerships that influence specifications and drive project opportunities.
- Educate and Advocate: Demonstrate product benefits and position Lutron as the preferred specification choice.
- Apply Construction Sales Knowledge: Leverage your understanding of the construction sales cycle to support projects from design through completion.
- Develop Technical Expertise: Learn Lutron products, their benefits, and their applications to become a trusted resource.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with rep agents, dealers, internal teams, and influencers to ensure project success.
- Communicate Effectively: Coordinate with stakeholders to deliver comprehensive project specifications.
- Serve as a Technical Expert: Provide guidance to specification customers, end users, and trade partners.
- Close Projects: Apply consultative selling techniques and technical expertise to secure business opportunities.
- Deliver Exceptional Service: Provide outstanding customer support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Drive Team Success: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals and close projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years' experience required
- Prior experience in architectural sales, lighting design, product sales, or related industries preferred.
- Authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
- Lutron does not offer work visa sponsorship for this position.
Starting pay: $112,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year plus bonus and profit sharing. Lutron's employee benefits include 401k match, health, dental, life insurance, paid vacation (amount based on tenure with the company), flexible spending accounts, and tuition reimbursement programs.
