- Aquatics Operations Manager

SUMMARY:
This position is an important role to the success of Splashplex Water Park and will be actively involved in the day to day operations. This position is responsible for working with the Aquatics Director to oversee the water park facility, team members and common areas ensure overall policies and procedures are administered safely and consistently.
Responsibilities
Manage the overall water parks daily operations while developing skilled lifeguards to ensure guests safety, proper water quality, and exceptional guest experiences.
Staff recruitment, training and development all water park team members.
Work with the Aquatics Director in planning and implementation of orientations and on-going training.
Will oversee scheduling and evaluations.
Maintain cleanliness of the Water Park, restrooms, slides, pools, and public areas.
Work with the AD/GM and others in short and long term planning related to Splashplex Water park facilities operations and program improvements, maintenance, and future development.
Work directly with all Operations Manager to identify team member’s talent, job assignments and cross training.
Directly responsible for overseeing the guest services, complaints and related issues to the guests experience.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Respond to medical emergencies within the park.
Inventory and ordering of all operational supplies, such a first-aid, rescue equipment, janitorial supplies and aquatic chemicals.
Coordinate and communicate with the AD/GM regarding all facility safety issues and concerns.
In addition to this role, your position will also oversee operations as which includes rides, admissions, and our arcade during the fall and winter seasons.
Assist with IROC training and ensure compliance from slide operators to exceed program expectations.
Be the main point person for our Starguard Aquatics program which includes getting certified, training team to exceed program expectations, and exceed in all audits throughout the year.
Monitor pool water chemistry, maintain equipment, and ensure adherence to local health codes, OSHA standards, and risk management plans.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Lifeguard – Must have at least two to three years of Lifeguard Management Experience
Leadership – Ability to lead people and maintain a visible leadership role and appropriate credibility throughout the organization, management and employees.
Communication – Highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills; ability to communicate clearly, concisely and persuasively.
Decisiveness – Ability to handle detailed and complex problems and make timely decisions.
Self-Motivation/Initiative – Demonstrates ability to take initiative and executes to accomplish strategic objectives.
Flexibility – Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and maintain a flexible work schedule to meet various demands for multiple concurrent projects; willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Demands:
Able to lift at least 50 pounds
Able to walk or stand for extended periods of time
Able to complete all pre-requisites congruent with lifeguard certification.
Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions (including direct sun, hot temperatures, rain, wind, etc.)
The Aquatics Manager must be fluent in all aspects of waterpark operations, team member management and daily operational duties.
Reports to :Aquatics Director and General Manager
Supervises: Supervisors (Leads), and Lifeguards and non-pool team members to ensure area coverage and company procedures are followed.
Uniform Dress Code: Professional attire, logo staff shirt, slacks, no jeans, soft soul shoes
