Description
The law firm of Ronald T. Ogomori, AAL, ALC is seeking a motivated and talented Associate Attorney to join his litigation practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who is interested in handling sophisticated and challenging litigation matters while working closely with experienced litigators in a collaborative and supportive environment.
The law firm practice includes:
Business and Commercial Litigation
Construction Litigation
Trust and Estate Litigation
Insurance Defense and Coverage
The successful candidate will work on all phases of litigation, including case evaluation, legal research, drafting pleadings and dispositive motions, discovery, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, trial preparation, and court appearances. Associates will have meaningful client interaction and opportunities to assume increasing responsibility as their experience grows.

Requirements
Responsibilities:
Manage and support all phases of litigation, from case inception through trial and appeal.
Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, pleadings, motions, and other court filings.
Draft and respond to written discovery and take or defend depositions, as appropriate .
Represent clients at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and other proceedings .
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel.
Collaborate with attorneys and staff to develop litigation strategies and achieve favorable client outcomes.
Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school.
Active membership in the Hawai'i State Bar, or eligibility for admission.
Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Prior litigation experience is preferred but not required for outstanding candidates.
