- Associate Attorney
Description
Since 1854, Bieser, Greer & Landis has taken on new attorneys expecting them to hit the ground running and work their way to partnership. We have never seen our new attorneys as other than professional advocates and problem solvers. In these days of full-time discovery attorneys and artificial intelligence, we still seek out and welcome new attorneys enthusiastic about truly beginning their career as an advocate fighting for clients.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
To give candidates a sense of what they can expect if they join our firm as an Associate, here is a snapshot of what our three newest colleagues have experienced to this point in their short careers:
- They have defended dozens of depositions.
- They have conducted dozens of depositions (including those of expert witnesses).
- They have participated in dozens of hearings and given dozens of arguments in trial courts.
- They have each had trial experience as first or second chair.
- They have each argued before a State of Ohio Court of Appeals.
- One has argued before the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
- Another has argued before the Ohio Supreme Court.
MORE THAN BACKROOM SUPPORT
There will always be documents to review, research to be done, and memos to be drafted, but what we promise our Associates is that if they truly want to be an advocate and problem solver, rather than simply being backroom support for advocates and problem solvers, they will have the opportunity not long after joining us.
