Description

Established Las Vegas law office is seeking a full-time Nevada-licensed attorney to handle primarily criminal defense and divorce/custody matters.

Experience in criminal defense and/or family law is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who wants significant hands-on experience, regular courtroom appearances, direct client interaction, and responsibility for their own caseload.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Meet with prospective and existing clients;
- Handle court appearances, hearings, conferences, and other proceedings;
- Manage criminal defense and family law matters from intake through resolution;
- Draft, prepare, and file motions, pleadings, discovery, and other legal documents;
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, prosecutors, court staff, and other parties;
- Negotiate resolutions and prepare matters for hearing or trial;
- Assist with other areas of law handled by the firm as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications:
- Active license to practice law in Nevada;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
- Ability to independently manage and prioritize a caseload;
- Comfortable appearing in court and interacting directly with clients;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook;
- Criminal defense and/or family law experience preferred, but not required.
