This Construction Company Estimator role is much more than a traditional estimating position. We are seeking a leader who can help shape the future of the estimating department while making a direct impact on project success and company growth.
+ Plus $800 monthly auto allowance ($9,600 annually)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Estimating & Preconstruction
- Prepare construction estimates and take-offs for projects in:
- Hospitality
- Multifamily
- Commercial
- Healthcare
- K-12
- Higher Education
Project Phase Management
Support and manage estimating activities during:
- Conceptual Phase
- Pre-Construction
- Construction
- Change Orders
Leadership Focus:
- While the title is Mid-Senior Level Estimator, this is more than an individual contributor role.
- We are seeking someone who can:
- Build and develop an estimating team... Mentor junior estimators
- Establish estimating best practices
- Influence department strategy and process improvement
Initial Client-Facing Responsibilities
- The position emphasizes:
- Presenting budgets to owners and design teams
- Leading cost strategy discussions
- Supporting project pursuits and interviews
- Influencing design decisions through real-time cost input
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
- 5 to 10+ years of construction estimating experience
- Experience preparing estimates from schematic design through design development documents
- Change-order management experience
- Knowledge of historical pricing and cost databases
- Experience leading stakeholder meetings
- Some Scheduling experience
- Estimating knowledge across all CSI trade divisions
- M*E*P are pluses
Software Competency with Timberline/Sage or similar estimating software
Some experience with Primavera 3/6 "preferred"
