Position Overview: Estate Planning Attorney
We are seeking a skilled and client-focused Estate Planning Attorney with a minimum of 2 years of estate planning experience to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate has a passion for helping individuals and families plan for the future, enjoys working in a collaborative team environment, and is eager to grow with a firm that values both professional excellence and work-life balance.
Location and Work Schedule

Location: 777 Passaic Ave., Clifton, New Jersey. Our office is conveniently located close to all major highways.

Schedule: This is a full-time position requiring 40-50 hours per week in a hybrid work setting.
Compensation and Benefits
-
Base Salary: $200,000-$300,000
-
Performance-Based Bonus: Up to 60% of base salary

Benefits: Hybrid-remote, flexible PTO (see below), health insurance, 401k/profit sharing, et al.
Key Responsibilities
-
Lead & Systemize the Estate Planning Practice: Own and scale the estate planning department by designing repeatable systems, improving SOPs, refining workflows, and overseeing service delivery and production to ensure efficiency, consistency, and an exceptional client experience.

Drive Strategic Growth & Market Expansion: Partner closely with the firm’s marketing team to expand the estate planning practice through lead-generation initiatives, increased consultation bookings, and expanded service offerings. Serve as a key presenter at the firm’s weekly in-office estate planning seminars to educate and convert prospective clients.

Conduct High-Impact Client Consultations: Lead strategic consultations with prospective clients to identify goals, educate them on legal options, and recommend customized estate planning solutions that establish trust and drive long-term client relationships.

Oversee the Full Client Lifecycle: Manage the end-to-end client journey—from intake and strategy through drafting, signing, and post-signing follow-up—ensuring a seamless, white-glove experience at every touchpoint.

Supervise Drafting & Legal Production: Oversee the preparation and review of customized estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, advance directives, and asset protection trusts. Delegate drafting responsibilities appropriately while maintaining quality control through structured review processes.

Build & Expand Service Offerings: Identify opportunities to enhance and expand the firm’s estate planning services to meet evolving client needs while increasing revenue and scalability.

Lead the Service Delivery Team: Manage, mentor, and develop attorneys, paralegals, and support staff within the estate planning department, ensuring accountability, efficiency, and adherence to established systems and standards.

Ensure Legal Excellence & Innovation: Stay current on estate, tax, and elder law developments to implement forward-thinking legal strategies and reinforce the firm’s reputation for excellence and leadership.

Hire, Delegate & Scale: Participate in hiring, onboarding, and mentoring junior attorneys and support staff; delegate drafting and production responsibilities effectively to scale the department without sacrificing quality or client satisfaction.
Qualifications We’re Looking For:

J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar admission in New Jersey; admission to New York and/or Pennsylvania is a plus

At least 2 years of experience focused on estate planning

Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills

A compassionate, client-first approach and the ability to explain complex legal concepts in plain language
