Who are we? Community Care Veterinary Specialists, in beautiful Gainesville, Florida, is a privately owned small animal specialty hospital in North Central Florida.
We are a community of supportive veterinary professionals that collectively use our individual strengths to contribute to the care of all pets. Animal welfare is elevated by the supportive relationships between our local general practices and the best specialty care available. Duties:
Ability to interact professionally in person, through email and telephone communications with clients and industry professionals
Provide coaching and training to team-mates
Responsibly document procedures, medications, and hospitalization instructions for multiple departments
Comfortable managing clinic flow for multiple cases and surgeons
Administer medications & treatments per DVM instruction, documenting all steps within medically regulated parameters
Respond quickly and calmly to crisis while maintaining a high standard of client care
Maintain concise communication with team members to facilitate excellent patient care
Comfort delegating tasks while providing safe anesthesia and sedation for various surgical and emergency procedures
Demonstrate patience and compassion to pets, clients, and team members, regardless of the situation or challenges presented

Requirements
Qualifications:
Three to five years of Veterinary Medicine Experience, specifically in Surgery and Anesthesia
Knowledge of basic animal care and nursing, especially anesthesia monitoring, and common comorbidities
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology
Knowledge of equipment and materials along with their clinical application
Display medical mathematical competency to safely calculate and administer medications
Excellent communication and multitasking skills are essential for this role. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, and able to deliver exceptional customer service and professional client interactions.
Self-motivated and can function without prompting
Demonstrates initiative and a proactive approach to tasks and responsibilities.
Possesses a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Takes ownership of assigned tasks and sees them through to completion.
Resourceful in finding solutions and information when needed.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to changing priorities.
Must be able to lift 40lbs
Holiday and Weekend flexibility is required
CVT preferred but not required
Position subject to on-call rotation
