Position Overview:
Achasta Country Club is seeking a dependable and skilled Facility Maintenance Technician to help maintain the appearance, cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our clubhouse and surrounding club facilities. This position is responsible for routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, cleaning, organization, and general facility support.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and capable of identifying maintenance needs before they become larger problems. This individual must take pride in their work and understand the importance of keeping all facilities clean, orderly, well-maintained, and welcoming for members, guests, and employees.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections of club facilities and identify needed repairs, cleaning, or maintenance.
- Complete minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, and general building repairs.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment, fixtures, doors, lighting, and building systems.
- Keep the clubhouse, maintenance areas, storage rooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas clean and organized.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail when completing repairs, cleaning areas, and inspecting club facilities.
- Identify and correct minor appearance or cleanliness issues before they negatively affect the member or guest experience.
- Troubleshoot maintenance issues and coordinate with outside contractors when specialized repairs are required.
- Assist with furniture placement, event setup, deliveries, and other facility-related projects.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from club management and department leaders.
- Maintain an organized inventory of tools, equipment, repair materials, cleaning supplies, and replacement parts.
- Return tools and materials to their proper locations after each project.
- Ensure maintenance workshops, storage spaces, mechanical rooms, and work areas remain clean, safe, and orderly.
- Remove debris, trash, unused materials, and other items from work areas after repairs or projects are completed.
- Follow all safety procedures and immediately report unsafe, damaged, or unsanitary conditions.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, completed repairs, cleaning needs, and preventative maintenance.
- Assist with emergency repairs or facility issues when necessary.
- Support other departments with reasonable maintenance, cleaning, and organizational needs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in facility maintenance, building maintenance, construction, custodial maintenance, or a related trade is preferred.
- General knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, painting, cleaning procedures, and mechanical repairs.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to recognize items that require cleaning, repair, replacement, or improvement.
- Ability to maintain clean, organized, and professional work areas.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, cleaning equipment, and maintenance equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Professional appearance and respectful communication with members, guests, coworkers, and contractors.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass any required background or employment screening.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in a variety of indoor and outdoor conditions.
- Ability to safely use ladders and work at moderate heights.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to perform physical maintenance and cleaning work for extended periods.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and weather conditions when required.
Schedule:
- This is a full-time position.
- The schedule may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, or occasional emergency call-ins based on club operations and maintenance needs.
