Freeze Dryer Production Technician
We are looking for a Freeze Dryer Production Technician to join our production team in Sioux Falls, SD. This hands-on role supports the production of freeze-drying equipment by assembling mechanical and electrical components, wiring, testing, troubleshooting production issues, preparing parts and materials, and getting finished units ready for shipment.
This is a good fit for someone with mechanical and/or electrical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and experience in assembly, manufacturing, production, or a similar hands-on work environment.
What You'll Do- Assemble freeze dryer units, subassemblies, and related components using work instructions, drawings, diagrams, and production specifications.
- Perform mechanical assembly, wiring, fitting, component installation, and related production tasks.
- Assist with testing, inspection, quality checks, and troubleshooting of freeze dryer units and related equipment.
- Kit, stage, organize, and prepare parts and materials for production, shipment, and customer orders.
- Use hand tools, power tools, measuring tools, production equipment, and material-handling equipment safely and appropriately.
- Load, unload, and prepare completed units, components, and equipment for shipment.
- Work with quality, engineering, and startup team members to help resolve assembly, testing, or equipment issues.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Occasionally assist with customer-site installations.
Required:
- Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, production, or a similar hands-on work environment.
- Mechanical and/or electrical aptitude.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions, drawings, diagrams, work orders, and production specifications.
Preferred:
- Forklift certification.
- Troubleshooting experience with wiring, electronics, or control components.
- Mechanical assembly experience with industrial equipment, production equipment, or machinery.
- Machining, fabrication, equipment repair, production equipment operation, warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory, or kitting experience.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds with assistance occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, twist, kneel, squat, push, pull, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
- Ability to perform hands-on assembly, wiring, testing, troubleshooting, material handling, and equipment movement as required.

Schedule: Full-time, Weekdays
Status: Non-exempt
Travel: Occasional, less than 10%

- Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, production, or a similar hands-on work environment.
- Mechanical assembly experience with industrial equipment, production equipment, or machinery
- Forklift certification
