Full-Time Pharmacy Technician
Axis Pharmacy Northwest is a locally owned, independent pharmacy serving patients and care providers throughout King and Snohomish Counties. We provide Long-Term Care pharmacy services, retail prescriptions, and non-sterile compounding under one roof, with a strong focus on personalized care, medication management, and support for Adult Family Homes.
We are seeking a Full-Time Pharmacy Technician to join our growing team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a unique pharmacy environment that combines Long-Term Care, Retail, and Compounding services, providing a diverse and rewarding experience.
The Pharmacy Technician works closely with pharmacists, technicians, assistants, caregivers, providers, and patients to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient pharmacy operations while delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and prepare prescriptions accurately and efficiently in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Assist pharmacists with prescription filling, data entry, medication packaging, and inventory management
- Support Long-Term Care pharmacy operations, including medication packaging, cycle fills, and delivery coordination
- Communicate with providers, caregivers, Adult Family Homes, and patients regarding prescription needs and medication questions
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within pharmacy management systems
- Manage inventory, medication ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
- Assist with controlled substance inventory and documentation requirements
- Support non-sterile compounding operations as trained
- Help maintain compliance with Washington State Pharmacy Quality Assurance Commission (PQAC) regulations and company policies
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment focused on patient care and operational excellence
Requirements
Required
- Active Washington State Pharmacy Technician License in good standing
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
- Strong computer and data-entry skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
Preferred but Not Required
- Experience in Long-Term Care pharmacy
- Experience with pharmacy packaging systems and medication synchronization
- Experience with retail pharmacy operations
- Experience with PioneerRx, Rx30, or similar pharmacy software systems
