Kennel Technician

Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Kennel Technician to join our team. This role is essential in providing daily care for animals and maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment. The ideal candidate is hardworking, detail-oriented, and passionate about animal welfare.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, and administering medications as directed
• Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas to maintain a hygienic environment
• Monitor animals for signs of illness, injury, or behavioral changes and report concerns to staff
• Exercise and socialize animals as appropriate
• Maintain accurate records of feeding, treatments, and activities
• Support veterinary staff and other team members as needed
• Ensure all safety and animal care protocols are followed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience working with animals is a plus, but not required
• Ability to handle animals of various sizes and temperaments
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physically demanding tasks (standing, lifting, cleaning)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts

Work Environment

• Exposure to animals, cleaning chemicals, and varying noise levels
• Physical activity including walking, bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
