- Lateral Transactional Attorney
Description
McMahon Surovik Suttle, P.C., a 20-attorney law firm in Abilene, Texas, is seeking an experienced lateral attorney to add capacity and talent to its transactional practice. The firm represents large and small clients developed through decades of service, as well as growing businesses and start-ups throughout a 200-mile radius of Abilene.
The immediate need is for an attorney with experience or a strong interest in transactional law. The successful candidate may work on a broad range of business and commercial matters, including banking, corporate transactions and mergers, entity formation and governance, commercial real estate, construction, employment, estate planning, probate, oil and gas, and related client counseling. Although the firm’s present need is within the transactional practice area, attorneys have the opportunity to develop and concentrate their practice in any of the areas in which the firm serves its clients.
The firm is interested in both seasoned attorneys and skilled associates with approximately three to five years of relevant experience. A seasoned attorney with the appropriate experience, judgment, and commitment to the firm may have the opportunity to become an owner at nominal cost as early as one year after joining the firm. The firm also welcomes a less experienced attorney who is interested in building a long-term practice without an immediate expectation of ownership.
Candidates must be licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas and should demonstrate strong drafting, analytical, negotiation, communication, and client-service skills. The ideal candidate will be able to manage matters responsibly, work collaboratively with attorneys and staff, and develop trusted, long-term client relationships.
McMahon Surovik Suttle, P.C. offers a collegial environment, meaningful client contact, a diverse and established client base, and compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications.
