Cooper University Health Care invites an accomplished Spine Surgeon (Orthopaedic Spine or Neurosurgical Spine) to serve as Medical Director of our multidisciplinary Spine Program. This compensated leadership role offers protected administrative time and the opportunity to shape one of the region's premier academic spine programs through strategic vision, physician collaboration, innovation, and clinical excellence.
Why This Role?
Lead a unified Spine Program spanning Neurosurgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, Pain Management, Rehabilitation, and ancillary services.
Define and execute the long-term strategic vision for growth, market expansion, and service differentiation.
Partner with executive and physician leadership to build an integrated, high-performing spine service across all operative and ambulatory sites.
Advance clinical quality, patient access, referral pathways, operational performance, and physician engagement.
Develop a coordinated research strategy while expanding clinical trials, outcomes research, and academic visibility.
Influence fellowship, residency, and interdisciplinary educational initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate
Board-certified Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon or Neurosurgeon.
Established record of clinical excellence and program development.
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and quality initiatives.
Passion for academic medicine, innovation, research, and mentorship.
