We're looking for an Ophthalmic Technician Trainer to play a key role in shaping the next generation of clinic talent. COT or COMT preferred but will consider COA or those with extensive experience.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll support technician onboarding, guide professional growth, and ensure clinical excellence. If you're passionate about education, process improvement, and elevating standards of care, we’d love to meet you. You will:

Lead structured training programs for new and experienced technicians.
Provide one-on-one coaching and feedback.
Track and document training progress.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, MIPS and internal policies.
Review documentation accuracy, safety practices and patient interaction standards.
Adapt to evolving clinic needs with flexibility
Collaborate with management to improve workflows, training processes, and technician engagement.
Train new hires to take proper histories, do tests such as VA, APD, CFV, IOP, Refraction, OCT, VR VF, motility testing, contact lens fitting, trial frame, Atlas, Auto-refract as well as teaching an understanding of common ophthalmic disorders. Note-this is for OPHTHALMOLOGY (optometric tech training and experience will not be adequate for this role).
What We’re Looking For

More than 3 years prior experience as an ophthalmic technician is required.

Ability to train, mentor and engage staff across diverse learning styles.

Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment.
