Iowa Eye Center is a physician owned practice that sees patients from both Unity Point and Mercy Medical systems. Local solo practice ophthalmologists founded the group practice in 1992, and there is a large group of employees that have been here since the beginning. It's a great place to work! There are 8 physicians and 55 employees. We are currently searching for someone to join our team. This is a full-time position with one afternoon off per week.

Key Responsibilities:

History taking
Lensometry
Refractometry
IOP Measurements
Diagnostic Testing
 

What we are looking for:

Experience in Ophthalmic Assisting, but would train a well-qualified Medical Assistant with extensive medical office experience or training
Experience with Ophthalmology and/or NextGen Practice Management System would be great but not required
Experience with Ophthalmic and Medical terminology
Detailed oriented person
Ability to communicate with your co-workers, physicians and medical personnel
Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with patients
