Batchelet Eye is an ophthalmology practice located in Grove City, Pennsylvania. We are seeking a part or full time Ophthalmic Technician with prior experience to join our expanding team.

Requirements

Applicants must be energetic, diligent and computer savvy. The right candidate will have effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. He/she must work well in a teamwork environment. Excellent time management, communication skills and empathetic personality are required for this position.

Job Duties:

Conduct preliminary eye examinations and history taking
Prepare each patient for the physician visit by utilizing state-of-the-art ophthalmic equipment to check visual acuities, evaluate the peripheral vision and muscle movement, pupillary function, refraction and dilation
Always interact with patients in a positive and friendly manner
Provide accurate and consistent documentation in the electronic medical record
Perform diagnostic testing with accuracy and confidence
Provide patients with educational material and feel comfortable having discussions while never sharing information that should come from the doctor
Provide procedural support to the physician provider
Provide administrative support to the practice
While performing the duties of an ophthalmic technician, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, use hands/feel, and walk. The applicant must be able to lift a minimum of 10 pounds.
