Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk with one year payroll processing experience to process payroll for our multi-state, union, and non-union workforce. The successful candidate will have a strong ADP background, payroll tax knowledge and a general understanding of financial and accounting concepts.
Key Responsibilities:
Process weekly multi-state payroll for union and non-union employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of duties performed.
Interpret and apply union contracts and comply with varied state-specific wage and hour regulations.
Completing various functions like setting up fields for new employees, updating job classes and pay rates as needed, terminating employees, tracking vacation, responding to and setting up garnishments from states, counties, cities, or other court ordered sources and setting up, deducting, and reconciling benefits
Monthly reporting of dues, pension plans, health, life, and dental insurance separately to the union
Creating and maintaining reports
