Description
We are seeking a Portfolio Manager/Analyst responsible for managing investment portfolios, managing high net worth client relationships, and analyzing stocks. The ideal candidate will exhibit a passion for client service, business acumen, and adherence to the highest moral and ethical standards. Managers will develop their own investment performance record drawing from the group research effort, while investing consistently with both the clients’ investment objectives and Woodstock’s investment philosophy. Experience and education are important. Ultimately the candidate will be chosen based on overall qualifications and cultural fit.
Duties:
- Construct and maintain investment portfolios in separate accounts for high net worth individuals and their families.
- Manage client relationships while striving to achieve the highest client service standards. Meet with clients to review account performance and investment objectives. Keep in regular contact with clients regarding market developments affecting their portfolios.
- Analyze stocks. Make investment recommendations based on fundamental research. Provide maintenance research coverage to the group of portfolio managers on assigned names.
- Develop and close new business leads provided through client referrals, company generated connections, and any other marketing efforts, as developed.
Requirements
Skills:
- The Portfolio Manager/Analyst is expected to work routinely from Woodstock’s office five days per week.
- Work with Woodstock team members and outside contacts to serve clients proactively, responding to questions and concerns as they arise.
- Provide in-depth analysis of company and industry fundamentals, and make appropriate valuation judgments. The Manager must further understand how equity analysis fits into the broader context of macroeconomic and stock market dynamics.
- Must have appropriate listening, writing, speaking and presentations skills to coherently discuss financial markets, and be comfortable presenting to individual clients as well as to an audience in a marketing setting.
- The use of technology for communications, research and efficiency is required.
Qualifications:
- At least 5-7 years of investment experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Series 65 license
- MBA or CFA preferred
