Description
Citizens Caring for Children is an Oklahoma City nonprofit organization that serves the needs of Oklahoma children living in foster care, the most vulnerable children in the state, by providing clothing, personal hygiene items, school supplies, holiday gifts, and other essential items to build a brighter tomorrow.
Clients access services through our boutique-style Resource Center, Mobile Foster Futures program, and special events throughout the year.
Resource Center Program Coordinators oversee the client experience by demonstrating exemplary customer service and creating an organized, clean, and safe environment during visits to the Resource Center. They also assist with the execution of Mobile Foster Futures distributions and special events and uphold operations by tracking client information, assisting with inventory, and working with volunteers.
The target start date for this position is November 2, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring high levels of customer service by greeting each client, providing shopping assistance, being aware of and providing information on available items, and answering questions.
- Assembling orders for curbside pickup, Mobile Foster Futures distributions, and group homes.
- Accurately managing customer orders in the inventory management system.
- Maintaining the sales floor and restocking items as needed to ensure that each client has full access to products and that the space is clean, safe, and welcoming.
- Keeping a clean and tidy counter space and storing supplies in designated locations.
- Assisting in answering the phone, making client appointments, and scheduling distributions for group homes.
- Updating the client database.
- Executing receiving and inventorying of in-kind donations and purchases.
- Supporting the volunteer program by preparing projects, providing tours, leading volunteer groups, and finalizing clean up when projects are completed while ensuring that volunteers have a positive, meaningful, and safe experience.
- Helping with preparations for and attending Mobile Foster Futures distributions.
- Providing necessary support for special events.
- Following all procedures as assigned, added, or updated.
Requirements
- Enthusiastic, friendly, helpful, and able to provide outstanding service
- Understanding of customer service and retail sales practices
- Attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and correctly
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Previous use of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Physical demands involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, carrying items up to 50lbs
- Occasional evening or weekend work necessary
