Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
Position Overview
The Sales Manager & Business Development Manager will be responsible for building wholesale, retail, event, and community sales channels in the Palm Springs territory. This person will represent Acegolfs as well as selected affiliate brands in the company’s product portfolio, including golf apparel, athleisure, shoes, accessories, and lifestyle products across different price points.
This role is ideal for someone who loves golf, understands the golf retail and pro shop environment, and already has connections with golf courses, country clubs, pro shops, resort shops, retail stores, golf communities, and tournament organizers.
The right candidate should be able to open new accounts, manage trunk shows, host pop-up stores, organize demo days, support small golf tournaments, and represent the brand professionally in front of golf customers and club partners.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development
Develop new business opportunities with golf courses, country clubs, pro shops, resort shops, golf academies, retail boutiques, lifestyle stores, and local event partners.
Present Acegolfs and affiliate brand products to potential wholesale and retail partners.
Build and manage a pipeline of prospective accounts in Palm Springs, Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, Indian Wells, La Quinta, and surrounding Southern California golf markets.
Sell across multiple product categories, including premium golf apparel, made-to-measure golf clothing, athleisure, shoes, accessories, and lower-to-premium price tier products from the company’s affiliate brand portfolio.
Negotiate wholesale orders, trunk show opportunities, pop-up shop partnerships, and event-based selling opportunities.
Maintain strong relationships with buyers, golf professionals, pro shop managers, tournament directors, resort retail managers, and community leaders.
Golf Course, Pro Shop & Retail Account Management
Visit golf courses, pro shops, and retail shops regularly to present products, check inventory needs, collect feedback, and support reorders.
Understand each account’s customer base, price tier, product preference, and seasonal buying schedule.
Recommend the right mix of Acegolfs and affiliate brand products for each location.
Support merchandising, product displays, signage, and sell-through strategies.
Train pro shop or retail staff on product features, fit, made-to-measure service, brand story, and customer benefits.
Track account activity, order history, follow-ups, and sales performance.
Trunk Shows, Pop-Up Stores & Events
Plan, coordinate, and manage trunk shows, golf club events, pop-up stores, demo sessions, private fittings, and community shopping events.
Host onsite product presentations and introduce customers to VEZA Golf's made-to-measure and custom-fit apparel services.
Coordinate product samples, racks, signage, marketing materials, QR codes, lead forms, customer measurement forms, and event displays.
Work with golf clubs and event organizers to create engaging shopping experiences for members and guests.
Collect customer leads, feedback, sales data, and post-event follow-up opportunities.
Help turn events into repeat sales, wholesale accounts, and long-term community relationships.
Golf Community & Tournament Activation
Identify and support small golf tournaments, member events, charity tournaments, women’s golf events, demo days, and lifestyle golf gatherings.
Host or co-host small events that promote the company’s golf apparel, athleisure, shoes, accessories, and custom-fit services.
Build relationships with golf coaches, club professionals, local influencers, social groups, and golf community leaders.
Represent the brand as a professional and friendly ambassador who genuinely enjoys golf and the golf lifestyle.
Help create brand awareness through local golf participation, partnerships, and community presence.
Sales Reporting & Performance Tracking
Maintain a CRM or sales tracking sheet with all accounts, leads, contacts, follow-ups, meetings, orders, and event results.
Provide weekly updates on outreach, appointments, account progress, trunk shows, pop-up opportunities, and sales pipeline.
Track wholesale orders, direct event sales, reorders, customer leads, and partnership opportunities.
Share market feedback on pricing, product mix, fit, customer demand, and competitor activity.
Work with the internal team to improve product selection, event strategy, sales materials, and account support.
Requirements
The ideal candidate is a golf-loving sales professional with strong local relationships and the ability to create business through both account sales and in-person events.
We are looking for someone who:
Loves golf and is comfortable spending time at golf courses, pro shops, clubs, and tournaments.
Has existing connections with golf courses, country clubs, pro shops, resort shops, retail stores, or local golf communities.
Understands how golf apparel, athleisure, shoes, and accessories are sold through pro shops, retail stores, trunk shows, and events.
Can confidently present products and build trust with buyers, golf professionals, store owners, and customers.
Is comfortable hosting trunk shows, pop-up shops, demo sessions, private fitting events, and small tournaments.
Is entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and able to build a territory from the ground up.
Can sell both premium products and more accessible price-tier products depending on the account and customer base.
QualificationsRequired
3+ years of experience in sales, business development, wholesale sales, retail sales management, golf industry sales, apparel sales, sportswear, footwear, accessories, or lifestyle brand sales.
Existing relationships or strong familiarity with golf courses, pro shops, country clubs, resort retail, golf communities, or local retail shops.
Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to manage account outreach, in-person meetings, events, follow-ups, and sales reporting.
Comfortable working independently in a territory sales role.
Available for some weekend and evening events.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally within the territory.
Preferred
Experience selling golf apparel, golf equipment, athleisure, footwear, accessories, or fashion/lifestyle products.
Existing Palm Springs / Coachella Valley golf industry connections.
Experience managing trunk shows, pop-up stores, demo days, tournaments, or retail events.
Experience working with pro shops, resort shops, country clubs, or boutique retail buyers.
Understanding of wholesale pricing, retail margins, sell-through, reorder cycles, and seasonal buying.
Personal interest in golf and active participation in the golf community.
