We are seeking a high-performing Sales Manager to drive revenue growth in the U.S. market. This is a high-impact, high-earning opportunity for a well-connected sales professional who thrives on building relationships, opening doors, and converting opportunities into multi-million-dollar programs.
Requirements
Sales & Business Development
Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities across corporate, incentive, and agency markets throughout the U.S.
Achieve a minimum of $2M USD in booked revenue in Year 1, scaling to $3M USD in Year 2
Build and maintain a robust, active sales pipeline with accurate forecasting and CRM discipline
Leverage and continuously expand an established network of incentive houses, third-party planners, and corporate meeting decision-makers
Client & Industry Engagement
Represent IDS at key U.S. industry events, trade shows (IMEX, FICP, SITE, ADMEI), and client meetings
Strategically position The Bahamas and IDS as the premier destination and DMC partner for U.S.-based planners
Develop and nurture high-value client relationships throughout the entire sales lifecycle
Collaboration & Proposal Development
Partner with IDS's internal creative, operations, and production teams to develop compelling, tailored proposals
Effectively communicate IDS's unique in-house capabilities, production, entertainment, event rentals, and cultural programming as competitive differentiators
Provide timely market intelligence and client feedback to inform product and service development
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
7+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within hospitality, DMC, events, or incentive travel
Demonstrated track record of generating $2M–$5M+ in annual booked revenue
Strong, active network among incentive houses, third-party planners, and corporate meeting teams, particularly in the Midwest/Chicago market
Proven ability to independently open doors, manage a pipeline, and close high-value deals
Familiarity with the MICE industry landscape; knowledge of DMC operations is a strong advantage
CIS, DMCP, or CMP certification is a plus
